The Sustainability Initiative is a pilot program of the Agricultural Counselor's Office (LNV) of the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands in Washington, D.C. The project is designed to generate discussion among frontrunners in horticultrual sustainability and innovation, especially as seen through the lens of social media. Key elements include a trip to the Netherlands by North American experts and journalists to visit companies doing cutting edge work in sustainable horticulture and a website containing information about sustainable horticulture, blogs, forums and links.
